This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies blackoutcolors.com currently uses, who sets them, what they are for, how long they last and how you can manage them. It complements the Privacy policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Besides cookies, this website uses the browser's storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) and measurement scripts that send visit data to their providers.
First-party cookies are set by blackoutcolors.com and third-party cookies by another domain. Some third-party tools store their cookies under this website's domain.
2. Current consent status
The website currently does not show a cookie consent notice or panel. Analytics and advertising measurement tools are activated as you browse. You can disable or block them using the options described in section 5.
3. What we use
Necessary and security
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Shows that your browser passed the security check against automated traffic | Up to 1 year (depending on Cloudflare's configuration) | Third-party cookie under the website's domain |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare (on the Cal.com domain) | Protects the booking calendar against bots | 30 minutes | Third-party cookie (cal.com) |
First-party attribution
They store which campaign or page you came from and which contact button you used last, so we know what led to a booking. They are stored in your browser and sent to Google Tag Manager and Cal.com as visit or booking parameters.
| Name | Where it is stored | What it contains | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| bc_attribution_first | localStorage | First landing page, referring site and campaign parameters of the first visit | Until you clear the website's data in your browser |
| bc_attribution_session | sessionStorage | Campaign parameters of the current visit | Until you close the tab or browser |
| bc_last_cta | sessionStorage | Last contact button clicked and its page | Until you close the tab or browser |
Analytics
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguish visitors anonymously | Google sets it to 2 years; some browsers cap it (Chrome: 400 days) |
| _ga_JTFN5T0RKE | Google Analytics 4 | Keep the session state | Same as _ga |
Conversion measurement and advertising
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Link visits and conversions with Google ads | 90 days | |
| _gcl_ls | Google (localStorage) | Ad click data for conversion measurement | Until you clear the website's data |
| _fbp | Meta | Identify the browser to measure Facebook and Instagram campaigns | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta | Store the click identifier when you arrive from a Meta ad | 90 days |
| lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime, multiFbc | Meta (localStorage) | Referring site and click identifiers used by the Pixel | Until you clear the website's data |
Google Analytics has Google advertising features enabled, which allow visitor audiences to be built for campaigns. The Meta Pixel records page views, contact button clicks and confirmed bookings.
Without cookies
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: measures page load speed without setting cookies.
- Third-party images and icons (Unsplash, Simple Icons, Iconify and Google): they do not set cookies from this website, but they receive your IP and browser data when they load.
We do not use preference cookies: the language is set by the page address (/es or /en).
4. Third-party content on the website
The calendar on the contact page is loaded from Cal.com. Besides the cookie listed above, Cal.com may use other technologies within its own service, according to its privacy policy.
Links to WhatsApp, Google, LinkedIn or Instagram take you to those services, which apply their own cookies once you are there.
5. How to manage or disable them
- In your browser settings you can block third-party cookies, delete the website's cookies and stored data, or browse in private mode.
- Google offers a browser add-on that disables Google Analytics, and in your Google account's ad settings you can limit personalization.
- In Facebook or Instagram ad settings you can manage how Meta uses activity from other websites.
- Tracker-blocking extensions also prevent these tools from loading.
If you block measurement cookies, the website keeps working. If you block Cloudflare or Cal.com cookies, you may have to pass a security check or the calendar may not load.
6. Changes
We update this policy when we add, change or remove tools on the website. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
